There’s plenty of bars designed, and fitted out with timber. Hell there’s even bars located near, or named after trees. But have you ever seen a small bar thats actually located INSIDE a tree?!
The Sunland ‘Big Baobab’ bar in Modjadjiskloof, Limpopo Province, South Africa, is a small bar thats tucked away INSIDE the world’s widest baobab tree.
Inside you’ll find beer, seats, music, a tv, and a dart board, plus the amazement of drinking a beer completely inside a tree.
The tree has been carbon dated to be approximately 6000 years old. The trunk of the tree consists of two connected parts. Each of these parts has its own enormous hollow connected with a narrow passage. Diameter of the tree – 10.64 metres, height 19 metres and crown diameter – 30.2 metres. Circumference of the trunk – 33.4 metres.
But still, let’s repeat: it’s a small bar…inside a tree!
